Noe Quezada Elegant Large Mata Ortiz Plate Pottery

Noe Quezada is the son and heir apparent of Juan Quezada and is one of the finest potters of Mata Ortiz. Noe creates excellent works that are impeccably executed, decorated with sharp clean art and highly symmetrical.

Made by the traditional pinch and pull method of Mata Ortiz potters, without the use of a potter's wheel this large piece is has soft white and grey decorations on a black background. The patterns on this plate are fine cuter tape designs forming the well-known Quezada band. All Mata Ortiz pottery is made in the traditional ways and is fired outdoors.

This stunning jewel measures 3 in tall by 15 1/2 in wide. This is a true masterpiece of fine ceramic art.
