Nicolas Ortiz Mata Ortiz Brown Owl Effigy Pottery

The brown owl is possibly one of the most striking (along with his rabbits and owls) of the creations of Nicolas Ortiz. The animal is almost life like. Like all his other creations, this pot is superbly decorated by Nicolas. Note the detailed designs made by the contrast between the painted and matte finishes. This is also a large piece measuring 12 1/2 inches tall by 5 3/4 inches wide by 8 inches deep!
