Laura Gachupin Vintage Wedding Vase Jemez Pottery This beautiful handmade wedding vase was hand coiled and hand painted by one of the most famous potters of our time, Laura Gachupin from Jemez. Laura's creations are famous including her owls and melon pots, an art that she helped revive at Jemez. The present piece represents another side of the talent exhibited by this incredible artist. The pot measuring 10 1/2 inches tall by 6 inches wide and is structurally perfect. A potter's ability is revealed in the quality of the structure of their pottery and Laura has proved once again that she is a true master. The pottery is decorated with corn stalks and geometric designs and also with corncobs in relief near the top of the spouts.
