Laura Gachupin Large Melon Jemez Pottery This is a beautiful handmade pottery vase that was hand coiled and hand painted by Laura Gachupin, a premier potter from Jemez. Laura is credited with the creation of melon pottery in the Pueblo, and the present piece shows her incredible talent quite clearly. Note the perfection in the formation of the ribs, and the exquisite polish at the top. The pot is of good size measuring 9 inches in height by 8 inches wide.
