INDIVIDUAL POTTERY from OTHER PUEBLOS

Laguna Polychrome by Pottery Legent Evelyn Cheromiah

This bowl was hand made and hand painted by Evelyn Cheromiah, a member of the Roadrunner Clan at Laguna Pueblo. Evelyn was born on August 20, 1928. Rick Dillingham had this to say: ``Evelyn and Le Ann Cheromiah `talk' to deceased spirits of potters while making new pottery to guide them in their work.''

Deservedly, Evelyn is credited with rejuvenating pottery making in Laguna and infusing it with high quality and the spirit of tradition.

The polychrome bowl shown here decorated with traditional polychrome designs measures 5 1/2 inches tall by 5 3/4 inches wide.
